What can we say about this basket? Since the very first year we created our 1st gift boxes, you asked us to create one solely with your favorite wine! So for the first time, the entire Pithari series is in a gift package: the white of ’22, the red of ’20 and the light extraction of ’22! An ideal gift for holidays and all sorts of occasions, such as gatherings with friends or relatives. One thing is certain: enjoyment is guaranteed!

  • Pithari white 2022, dry white, P.G.I. Ikaria, certified BIO. Natural traditional white wine from begleri varietal (100%). Cloudy with a bright gold color. Smoky, grapefruit, and earthy scents (such as first rain and wet granite), and mushrooms. A pure terroir wine; very complex, rich in minerals, with an evolving taste, and a unique flavor. Hints of wild herbs, tobacco, citrus fruits, and a wet granite finish.
  • Pithari red 2020, dry red, P.G.I. Ikaria, certified BIO. Natural traditional red wine made from Fokiano varietal (100%). Opaque, natural red-brown color with orange highlights, and long-lasting legs. Ripe forest fruits such as cherry, lychee, and blackberry in spoon sweet. Flavors of sour cherry and wild cherry dominate; intense minerality, with a wet granite finish.
  • Pithari light extraction 2022, dry red, P.G.I. Ikaria, certified BIO. Natural traditional red wine from the local variety Fokiano (100%). Crimson red colour with orange highlights and  long lasting legs. Red and black fruits of the forest on nose and mouth. Floral elements with violet being the headstart. Tight and juicy at the same time, it needs time to unravel it`s intense temperament . The full longlasting tanins of the variety are integrated and compose definitive structure in the total balance.

Food Pairing for the white: Mollusks, seashells, oysters, clams and grilled medium or high-fat fish. Smoked and camembert cheeses, as well as wild vegetables with lemon. Best served at 10-12°C.

Food Pairing for the reds: Strong creamy character cheeses, roasted big fishes with herbs, meat from wild animals cooked in the oven with red plump, quince sauces and red meats cooked from rare to au point. Best served at 14-18°C.
