French oak barrel ageing

Afianes Wines ages this wine for 12 months in French oak barrels. The oak adds warm aromas, subtle spice and greater complexity. At the same time, it helps the tannins become softer and more integrated. As a result, the wine remains rich and expressive while keeping balance and elegance.

Natural vinification and authentic character

The vinification follows a natural and minimal-intervention approach. The wine ferments with wild indigenous yeasts and is bottled unfiltered, unfined and without added sulfites. Because of this method, it keeps the personality of the grape variety and the vineyard clear. Moreover, it expresses the raw intensity of Fokiano and the unique character of Ikaria.
